Vanuatu
Vanuatu is a tropical island nation of over 80 islands, known for its rich culture and strong community life. Its name comes from the word vanua (meaning ‘land’) and tu (meaning ‘stand’), which combine to mean ‘our land that stands forever’. However, the people of Vanuatu face frequent cyclones, volcanic eruptions, limited access to healthcare and education resources, and high poverty rates, which threaten homes, crops, and livelihoods. Imagine trying to stand strong in the face of this adversity without the steady comfort and guidance of Scripture. Thanks to God’s provision through partners like you, though, believers in Vanuatu are able to anticipate the day the door to Scripture availability is unlocked and they are able to stand forever on the promises of God’s Word.
